Alvaston Loft Conversion’s very own Jamie spent his last weekend doing something very special to him. Giving back to his local community of Essington. A collection of volunteers from the Friends of Essington joined forces to refresh the Jubilee planter and add a bit of colour to the area as we welcome in the start of Spring.
The Friends of Essington are a group dedicated to improving the quality of life of residents of the village of Essington and the surrounding areas of South Staffordshire and the West Midlands. Using a ‘hands-on’ approach, they work to protect and enjoy the natural and built environment of the surrounding area through a range of projects. By raising public awareness and engaging the local community and businesses to join in with their projects, they encourage local residents to have pride in their surroundings.
We at Alvaston Loft Conversions are always looking for ways to give back to our local area and are pleased to support the work of Friends of Essington in the community. The sponsored plot at the junction of Broad Lane and Bursnips Road was created in honour of the Queen’s diamond jubilee back in 2012 and gives a touch of colour and nature to the area. Our very own Jamie spent his Saturday getting hands on to replant the area along with the team of volunteers at the Friends of Essington to give it a fresh look for the new year ahead.
